Prof. Jens Oluf Jensen
Head of section, Proton Conductors
Department of Energy conversion and Storage
(DTU Energy)
Technical University of Denmark

Jens Oluf Jensen has materials science, electrocatalysis and electrochemistry as main research fields. The approach is experimental, addressing technologies within energy conversion with a focus on hydrogen energy, high temperature PEM fuel cells and water electrolysis. He was awarded his PhD degree for a study on metal hydrides. He heads the section Proton Conductors with 20-25 people. The group is specialised in electrochemical cells with working temperatures below 300°C with a special interest in new electrolytes, noble metal free catalysts, conducting membranes, and cells operating between 100 and 300°C. At DTU Energy, he teaches hydrogen energy and fuel cells as well as thermodynamics. He is a board member of the Danish Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells.
