Dr Jiří Hrdlička
Department of Advanced Powertrains
Chemnitz University of Technology, Germany

Chemical engineer specialised in the mathematical modelling of electrochemical systems graduated from University of Chemistry and Technology Prague in 2013.

In 2014, he joined Department of advanced powertrains as a researcher and in 2018 became the leader of the Simulation work group.

His research revolves around the mathematical modelling of transport processes in fuel cells and the numerical simulation of transonic flow in ejectors. Since 2017, he has been involved in several international projects within the Horizon 2020 framework, namely Fit-4-AMandA (automated, high-throughput manufacturing of fuel cell stacks), MAMA-MEA (high-throughput manufacturing of membrane-electrode assemblies using advanced deposition techniques), TAHYA (design of an advanced hydrogen tank for fuel cell vehicles), CAMELOT (high-end open-source mathematical model of a single cell) and several regional projects to support the development of fuel cell manufacturing in Saxony.
